As the founder of My Zebra Companion, I bring both professional experience and personal understanding to supporting individuals living with connective tissue disorders, cranio-cervical instability, Chiari and several other conditions. After having to leave my career to undergo multiple specialized surgeries on the East coast in 2024 and 2025, without family able to travel with me, I experienced firsthand the importance of compassionate support during vulnerable moments that can last for weeks. Friends became my lifeline, and their kindness inspired me to create a business dedicated to helping others with needed travel logistics and to even just go along with them as their surgical companion.
My Zebra Companion is founded on empathy, understanding, and the belief that no one should have to face complex medical journeys alone. Sometimes, loved ones may not be able to leave jobs, young children, or have health and stamina themselves to be a surgical companion. If you are considering long-distance travel requiring extended time away from home for surgery and need additional help, I am here to visit and answer any questions.
